Every year me and my sister have a boxing day tradition. I can see how a lot of people hate boxing day but me and my sister have always liked it and although there aren't any amazing deals its still just fun to wake up early and spend all your Christmas money :) Here's what I got!
1. Green zip up hoodie from H&M
2. Jean button up shirt from H&M
3. Nail polish in "Summer Peach" from American Apparel
4. NAKED Basics palette from Sephora
5. Pink lipstick from Forever 21
6. London/Paris/New York thin sweater from Forever 21
7. Cotton half button black blouse from Forever 21
The
other day my sister received a fragrance from one of her friends. It
was a roller/spray of Dolce & Gabbana's Light blue. I've heard a couple
Youtubers talk about this fragrance but I never picked it up to smell my self. When my sister
showed it to me and sprayed it on my wrist the scent was magical. My
favorite perfume every has been LOLA by
Marc Jacobs but ever since I've smelled this my mind has changed. It stayed on my wrist all night
long, I was impressed since it is an Eau de toilette! And since I am terrible
at describing scents here is
what Sephora.com said:
A stunning
perfume, overwhelming and irresistible like the joy of living. Surprising and
colored: the liveliness of Sicilian citron, the happiness of Granny Smith
apple, the spontaneity of bluebells. Feminine and resolute: the intensity of
jasmine, the freshness of bamboo, the charm of white rose. Deep and true: the
character of cedarwood, the fullness of amber, the embrace of musk.
Notes: Sicilian Citron, Bluebell, Granny Smith
Apple, Jasmine Sambac, Bamboo, White Rose, Cedarwood, Amber, Musk.Style:deep and true Whats your favoritefragrance?
I've recently been thinking a lot about my dreams. Having them, goals reaching towards them, and pursuing them. These are just a few of my thoughts that have been passing through my mind. How am I supposed to more forward in my life with negative comments, or what happens if my dreams don't come true? The truth is, YOU can change your dreams and goals and expectations to fit your lifestyle. As long as you're striving to get something and be successful and happy in life, that could be your dream.
I had a huge problem in high school with certain friends not taking my dream, which is to pursue a career in the fashion industry seriously, and it really brought me down that people would think it was an unrealistic goal and that it wouldn't make good income. I am fortunate to have parents that really support my dream of fashion and that see potential in me. As for the friends that brought me down (there were just a few, but it still really bothered me) I knew they were wrong and that I could be very happy, and very successful in the field of fashion.
I keep dreaming each moment I can about living in New York City or flying to Paris for Fashion Week and to be honest I can't judge if this dream will come true or not. I can only hope that the progress I am making now is enough to make my dreams come true.
Moving forward with negative attitudes was also a difficult transition to go though. I really couldn't accept what some of these people were telling me!! Moving on also means letting go. Now, this could mean letting go of that negative person, maybe an unrealistic dream or just that certain comment that has you changing your initial dream. Whatever if may be I hope that you all move forward in this new year and don't let negative comments, people or perceptions change who you can become.
These are just a few pictures off of my Tumblr that have to do with dreams.

This video below is by one of my favorite youtubers. She talks about dreams and moving forward and heading into the new year :) Enjoy
This may be a boring post for a few...But I thought I would just make it anyways for those of you who are interested in Fashion. *All photos are mine, clothes on hangers are made by me and pictures taken by me and my close friends* :)
So you're all probably wondering what these photos are for. Well, it just so happens i'm a fashion student and these were just some of the photos that I included in my portfolio that I had to submit. So like I had said in the little intro above I did sew all the clothes that are featured on the hangers. I thought it would nice to have me and my friends model them for the usage of my portfolio.
Now, i've never REALLY liked to sew. It was just something that was the closest thing related to a fashion-y course in high school. It takes a lot of time and effort and you really have to be committed to it!! I'm working on a few more garments right now that I hope to finish and get pictures of asap to show you all.
I really really hope you enjoy the pictures and give me some advice or feedback on how you think the pictures and clothes look.

Makeup is something I wear to make myself feel more comfortable. I'm not totally insecure with out it. I would just rather wear it to look more put together and awake! I also love to dress up, so anytime I have a chance to go a little bananas with my makeup I do!

These blouses I got for my birthday (which I technically picked out myself aha) They are both from Aritzia. The striped one from the Wilfred line and the Cobalt blue one from the T.babaton line. I thought I would do a little OOTN for both, in which I paired a cute black clutch and some simple jewelry. I've actually been really into blouses lately, they sell some amazing ones at Forever 21 for very affordable prices! I've also been dying to go to the recently new Topshop which just opened downtown a few weeks ago!
I'm actually debating which outfit to wear for my birthday dinner with friends this coming weekend! Which do you prefer?
p.s. Sorry if the camera quality isn't perfect, my Blackberry is all that I have to work with at the moment!
So I turned 18 yesterday. It doesn't really even feel like it was my birthday, though, I am officially an adult and can make big girl choices aha. I recall talking to my High school counselor a few months back. I was talking to her about my future and Uni and just life in general. She had said something along the lines of,
"How old do you think you'll live till?, 80?" she then proceed to make a timeline with her hands and continued to say "You're right here in life" (Like an inch way though the entire timeline of my life) "You have so much time to worry and make mistakes and you are too young to worry about the future so much...
So on my way home from picking up my delicious red velvet cake which I devoured, I make a few calculations on my good ol' Blackberry. If I think i'll live to 80, it would be the year 2074. My mind yelled silently, HOW CRAZY IS THAT? 2074, although the days feel short and sometimes I run out of motivation there will be plenty of time to make progress.
